| Marijuana Growing Operation in Martinton Nets Grand Jury Indictments | |

The discovery of a marijuana-growing operation in Martinton has resulted in indictments. The Iroquois County grand jury returned with charges against 31-year-old John Craycraft of Beaverville. He was arrested in June when police found 114 cannabis plants at a residence. Craycraft was arrested for Unlawful Production of Cannabis Plants. KAMEG and Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police were involved in the investigation. Sheriff’s Police later arrested 48-year-old Michael Miller of Martinton. He was charged with Unlawful Production of Cannabis plants. Police found 16 plants at a Martinton residence. Sixteen defendants were named in indictments returned by the grand jury August 1st.
