Route 24 Re-surfacing Work Set in Iroquois County

The motoring public is advised that the Iroquois Paving Corporation (IPC) of Watseka begins patch work and resurfacing of Route 24 between Watseka and Crescent City on Monday, August 6th.  Work will be underway by 5:00 a.m.

Traffic may experience long delays.  Local motorists may want to consider alternate routes during this reconstruction period.

Motorists are also advised to obey posted work zone speed limits.  Stiff fines and/or jail time could result if laws are violated.

Work zone speed limits must be followed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, regardless of the presence of workers.  The use of cell phones and wireless units are prohibited while driving in work zones.

Warning lights, sign boards/flagmen may be in place to direct traffic.
