Rescue workers Sunday recovered the body of a 16-year-old boy from the Kankakee River. Shaun Lynch, of Bonfield, was found at 4 p.m. Sunday in the in Bourbonnais Township near Perry Farm property. Kankakee County coroner Bob Gessner said that Lynch was pulled under the water by a current while swimming across the river to family. Gessner said the body was discovered more than 100 yards from where Lynch disappeared. (Lake Villa, IL) -- A boating accident on Lake Petite near the suburban town of Lake Villa has killed a ten-year-old boy. Officials say Tony Borcia was hit by a boat after falling off of a tube being pulled by another boat. The accident is under investigation; no charges have been filed. 94.1 FM, WGFA |
