Missing Kankakee Woman’s Body Found

An autopsy was scheduled Saturday on the  body of 33-year-old Brandie Robinson which was found near the Kankakee River under the South Schuyler Avenue bridge.  Kankakee Police report the discovery was made shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday.

Robinson’s body was positively identified at 12:26 p.m., according to Kankakee Police Chief Larry Regnier.


The whereabouts of the reported missing Kankakee woman had been the subject of a missing person report last week. 

Robinson’s body was recovered by city fire and police personnel. Details on how the body was found were not yet available.

Saturday's autopsy revealed Robinson was a drowning victim.  The Coroner's Office reports the investigation continues.

Robinson was last seen by her children as she left the house in the 400 block of South Osborn Avenue in Kankakee.
