Man Murdered, another Wounded in Kankakee Shooting

A man was murdered and another seriously wounded Saturday afternoon in Kankakee.

Police reports 24-year-old Tyrone D. Kennedy of Kankakee, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Eighteen-year-old Darrien Kennedy was listed in serious condition. Both men suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Kankakee Police were searching for the gunman after answered a call to the 900-block of N. Harrison Avenue.

Police arrived at the scene at 1:55 p.m. after receiving reports of multiple gunshots. The victims were found seated in a vehicle. No motive for the shootings was known early in the investigation.
