Teen arrested for shooting death in Danville

A Danville teen was arrested Thursday in connection with the fatal shooting of another teen late Wednesday night near Lincoln Park in Danville.

17-year-old Morris L. Williams faces two counts of first-degree murder for the shooting death of 18-year-old Adam Riley. Police reported the shooting around 11:30 in the area of Woodbury and Harmon streets.

Vermilion County Coroner Peggy Johnson said Riley was pronounced dead at 12:30 a.m. Thursday at the Presence United Samaritans Medical Center emergency room.

Police said that before Mr. Riley was taken to the hospital, he was able to give police a description of the person who shot him. He was taken by ambulance to Presence United Samaritans Medical Center, where he died a short time later.

Johnson said that an autopsy conducted Thursday after
noon revealed that Mr. Riley was shot multiple times.
