WCHS National Honor Society Teams Up With the American Red Cross
The need is constant. The gratification is instant. GIVE BLOOD. Every two seconds, someone, somewhere needs a blood transfusion. Join Watseka Community High School students and help patients during the American Red Cross blood drive on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Students and faculty can give from 11am-5pm and the general public is invited to stop by and donate between 3-5pm in the WCHS gym. By donating blood, you can help save up to three people in need of a blood transfusion,' said Tracy Welch, an American Red Cross representative. To make an appointment, please contact the Casie McTaggart at Watseka High School- (815) 432-2486. In addition to helping patients in need, our school has the opportunity to be part of a scholarship program for students by partnering with the Red Cross in the blood drive program. Last year, WCHS earned $500 in scholarship money. Contact WCHS to help save a life and earn scholarship money for a student.
