> The body of a Bourbonnais man found in Bradley Monday has been identified. Kankakee County Coroner Bob Gessner released the identity of a man whose body was discovered in a field near the Super Kmart yesterday morning. 27-year-old Horace L. Gee was identified by a family member Monday afternoon. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
Gee’s death is being investigated by Bradley Police Department, Kankakee County Coroner and the Illinois State Police Crime Lab.
> A January 28, 2010 sentencing date is set for Jason Satterfield for the 2007 armed robbery of Iroquois Federal in Clifton. The 32-year-old Satterfield–already serving a 10-year prison term for a Livingston County bank robbery–plead guilty to the Clifton robbery last week. He’s facing a 6-30 year stint in the DOC.
Co-defendant Noelle Huss is jailed in Iroquois County, awaiting a February 8th trial date. She’s an accused in accomplice in the December 12, 2007 robbery of Iroquois Federal.
> A complaint of drug use at an upstairs apartment in Kankakee led to the arrests of two persons. KAMEG agents responded to the 1080 S. Washington Avenue Sunday evening. Agents could smell burning cannabis as they approached the building. A search of the apartment led to citations against resident Sandy Blanton and 21-year-old Angel Schoeberl of St. Anne for Possession of Cannabis. KAMEG explained the citation is an arrest, payable at a clerk’s office rather than taking the arrested subjects to jail.
KAMEG also arrested 26-year-old Tom Rymus of Kankakee. He was arrested Saturday night at his N. Washington Avenue residence for Possession of Crack Cocaine with intent to deliver and Possession of Cannabis.
> Herscher, Momence, St. Anne, and host Kankakee were among the winners in opening day action at the Kankakee Holiday Tournament Monday. At the Hawk Classic in Fairbury, Iroquois West and Dwight were winners. CPCI and Bishop Mac suffered losses at the State Farm Classic in Bloomington.
